Review + GIVEAWAY // Old Wives Tail Hair Care*

Monday, 11 August 2014

No matter how many different volumising products that I try, my hair always seems to be dry and lifeless. With that in mind, Old Wives Tail kindly asked if I would like to be sent an oil treatment from their hair care collection, and after a quick look at their website, I immediately said yes!

Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment*
Old Wives Tail is a haircare company that care - they want the best for your hair, and so use only organic ingredients. Additionally, none of their products are tested on animals, and 10% of their profit goes to preventing animal testing. After learning how passionate they are about something for which I care deeply, I just knew that their products would reflect their warm-hearted attitude.

They offer a range of hair care for all different hair types. Looking for an oil that would help lifeless hair, I came across the 'Jojoba & Clove Organic Oil Treatment', which you can find here. The oil was described to 'add strength, volume, and texture', and it did not lie! After only one use, my hair genuinely felt so much healthier. As the instructions say to massage it into your scalp, I didn't put any oil on the ends of my hair, and you could really feel the difference. Where my roots were heavenly to touch, the ends of my hair felt brittle in comparison. As for volume, it has actually given my hair that little bit more umph than it usually has. Combining it with Aussie Volume shampoo (which you can find here), my hair finally has energy that I'm content with. A bit of advice to give, is to shampoo your hair twice, or thrice if necessary, to ensure that all of the oil has come out. Although the pot seems small, a little bit goes a long way, meaning that it'll last you quite some time. The only slight negative to the oil is the smell. To achieve such wonderfully lively hair, you must leave the oil on your hair for an hour before washing it all out. Although the smell isn't overwhelming, it's not something that I particularly enjoyed. Thankfully, the smell came out with the oil, leaving my hair smelling, looking, and most importantly, feeling beautiful.

Now for some exciting news! Old Wives Tail are currently hosting a giveaway on their website, and you could be in with a chance of winning two hair oils of your choice! As their company goal is to put an abrupt stop to animal testing, their giveaway is all about promoting that message. All that you have to do to enter is comment '#crueltyfree' on any of their social media pages - it's literally that simple. To view the full terms and conditions, including links to all of their social media, you can click here. The winner will be announced on November 1st, and so you have plenty of time to enter. To win two incredible products that will truly enhance your hair at the simple feat of promoting the prevention of animal cruelty... who wouldn't enter?!

  1. Choose hair care products wisely. So many hair care products are available in the market, we should select hair care products depends on our hair feature. I am using Alpecin liquid hair energizer as per my dermatologist’s suggestion.

  5. Have you ever wanted to look so stunning for a party but the hairstyle you desire cannot be achieved by the length of your hair? Or have you ever wanted to have a brand new look but don’t have the time to dye your hair or wait for it to be long enough? I have, and these are exactly the reasons why I got myself a virgin Brazilian Hair.
